Pump Repairs & Pump Replacement
Pump Repairs
Our technicians are trained and expertly skilled to diagnose and repair all types of pumps, including Turbine, Centrifugal and Submersible types. Sandy water and corrosive groundwater can damage your pumping systems. Likewise, lightening can damage electrical systems, especially during the rainy season. And, of course, heat and humidity contribute to overheating and motor degradation.
Common repairs needed for Centrifugal Pumps:
- Mechanical seals can fail due to sand intrusion, age or dry running
- Reduced flow and pressure can be caused by sand, algae or debris eroding/clogging impellers
- Priming issues attributable to suction leaks for foot valve failure
- Bearings can be damaged or worn out by excessive vibration or poor alignment
- Motors can fail from overheating, voltage drops or overloads
Common repairs needed for Submersible Pumps:
- Motors can burn-out due to dry running, low water levels or electrical faults
- Impellers, shafts and bearings can wear out from gritty (sandy) water
- Cables can be damaged by electrical shorts or water intrusion attributed to wear, poor installation and rodents
- Failure of check valves can cause backflow and damage during shutoff
- Repairs require that pump be removed from well
Common repairs needed for Vertical Turbine Pumps
- Excessive wear or misalignment of the column shaft can cause vibrations and premature bearing failure
- Wear to bowl bearing or impeller can be caused by sand, cavitation or corrosion in deep wells or canals
- Water loss and contamination of motor area can be attributed to discharge head seal leaks
- High voltage motor repairs attributed to overloads or lightening strikes
Likewise, we offer preventative maintenance to ensure your systems remain operational. These include:
- Screen and/or filter installation to block sand/debris
- Inspect electrical connections and voltage on a regular basis
- Monitor pressuer and flow to detect any declines
- Routine seal and bearing inspections
- Verify that priming systems and check valves are operational
Pump Replacement
In the event we determine a pump to be beyond repair, we can quickly and efficiently replace your pump with a new or rebuilt pump suitable to your operational needs. We recognize that down time is costly and work hard to minimize the impact to your operation.
