Pond Excavation
Harplyn works closely with licensed engineers (PE’s) to excavate ponds. We commonly construct ponds for:
- Agricultural irrigation, to store surface and pumped water for crop and grove irrigation
- Storewater management, to collect and retain runoff to prevent erosion and flooding
- Aquaculture, to commercially raise fish or aquatic plants
- Livestock ponds, to provide watering holes for cattle, horses and other livestock
- Wetland mitigation, to create or restore wetlands for environmental purpose
We have experience navigating the region’s high water table and sandy soils. And we understand that our flat topography requires precision-excavated berms. Similarly, Harplyn recognizes that powerful hurricanes and/or “rainy season” storms can compromise the integrity of pond banks and overflows.
